About Us

What Crypto Quill is

CRYPTO QUILL is an independent cryptocurrency news publication. We cover bitcoin, ethereum, the wider altcoin market, DeFi protocols, NFT projects, exchanges, and the regulators who are still deciding what to make of all of it. We publish news, explainers, and analysis, and we try very hard to keep those three things clearly separated, because in this industry the line between reporting and promotion gets blurred more often than anywhere else we can think of.

We are a small editorial team. We do not publish individual bylines or staff profiles, partly for the team’s privacy in an industry where journalists get targeted, and partly because we would rather be judged on the work than on personalities. What we owe you in exchange for that anonymity is consistency: every article, whoever wrote it, goes through the same sourcing rules, the same fact-checks, and the same disclosure requirements. Those rules are public. You can read them on our Editorial Standards and Fact-Checking pages.

What we cover, and how

Crypto moves fast and much of what circulates as “news” in this space is a screenshot of a screenshot of a tweet. Our approach is slower and, we think, more useful:

  • Market news. Price moves, liquidations, funding rates, and the flows behind them. When we cite a figure, we say where it came from and when we looked, because a crypto price is stale the moment you write it down.
  • Protocol and project news. Upgrades, forks, governance votes, exploits, and shutdowns. We verify against the project’s own repositories, governance forums, and official channels before we publish.
  • Exchange news. Listings, delistings, proof-of-reserves claims, outages, and withdrawals halting, which is the story nobody wants to be late on. We treat exchange statements as claims to verify, not facts to repeat.
  • Regulation. What legislators, regulators, and courts in major jurisdictions are actually doing, sourced to the filings and rulings themselves rather than to threads about them.
  • DeFi and NFTs. The genuinely new mechanisms, the total value locked in them, and the exploits that drain them, reported with on-chain evidence wherever the chain can provide it.

The blockchain is a public ledger, and that shapes how we work. When a transfer, an exploit, or a whale movement can be verified on-chain, we verify it on-chain and we link the transaction or address so you can check it yourself. When something cannot be verified, we either say so plainly or we do not run the story.

What we are not

This matters enough that we say it here as well as on our Disclaimer page. We are a news organisation, not an investment adviser. Nothing we publish is financial advice. We do not publish price targets dressed up as journalism, we do not run “top ten coins to buy” listicles, and we do not accept payment to cover a token favourably. Cryptocurrency is extraordinarily volatile and people lose real money in it every single day. If an article of ours is part of your research, good, that is what it is for. If it is the whole of your research, please stop and do more.

We also hold ourselves to a rule that we believe should be standard in crypto media but is not: no member of our team writes about an asset in which they hold an undisclosed position. The details of how we handle holdings, trading blackouts, and conflicts are on the Editorial Standards page.

How we are funded

Crypto Quill is independently owned and funded by advertising and clearly labelled affiliate links. No exchange, no token project, no fund, and no market maker owns any part of this publication or has any say in what we cover. Sponsored content, when we run it, is labelled so that you cannot mistake it for reporting. The full picture is on our Ownership & Funding page, and the rules advertisers must accept are on Advertise With Us.

When we get it wrong

We will, sometimes. Fast markets and pseudonymous sources make crypto one of the easiest beats in the world to make a mistake on. What we can promise is what happens next: material errors are corrected quickly and visibly, with a note explaining what changed, and we do not quietly rewrite articles and hope nobody noticed. The full process is described in our Corrections Policy. If you spot an error, tell us at support@cryptoquill.com with “Correction” in the subject line, and include a link to your evidence if you have one.

Contact

Everything routes through one address: support@cryptoquill.com. Tips, corrections, press releases, complaints, legal notices, and advertising enquiries all land there, and our Contact page explains how to flag each one so it reaches the right person quickly. We read everything. We especially read tips, and we protect the people who send them.
