Advertise With Us

The honest pitch

CRYPTO QUILL reaches readers who follow cryptocurrency seriously: people who trade, build, and research in this market, and who come to us precisely because our coverage is not for sale. That audience is valuable to advertisers for the same reason it is hard-won: it trusts what it reads here. Advertising with us means renting space next to that trust, never renting the trust itself. If that distinction works for you, read on; this page explains the formats, the rules, and the refusals.

What we offer

  • Display advertising. Standard placements across the site, sold directly or through the networks we work with. Direct deals can target sections (markets, DeFi, regulation) but never individual articles’ editorial content.
  • Sponsored content. Articles you commission, published on our site, labelled as sponsored. See the rules below before enquiring, because the rules are where most conversations end.
  • Newsletter sponsorship. Where we operate a newsletter, clearly marked sponsor slots are available within it.

For rates, availability, and audience details, email support@cryptoquill.com with “Advertising” in the subject line, tell us who you are and what you want to promote, and we will reply with specifics. Enquiries that skip the “who you are” part tend to stop there.

The rules every advertiser accepts

  • Labelling is non-negotiable. Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored, visibly, on the article itself and anywhere it is promoted. Requests to shrink, soften, or “test” the label end the conversation.
  • No influence on editorial. Advertising buys space, not coverage. Advertisers get no preview of our journalism, no input into it, and no notice of stories about them, including negative ones. Being an advertiser buys no protection from our reporting, and we ask you to acknowledge this before you spend anything, because it has surprised people who should have read this page.
  • Sponsored content is held to truth standards. We fact-check sponsored copy for false and misleading claims before it runs. It may not present price predictions as fact, promise returns, or misdescribe risk. It is excluded from editorial slots and feeds, and our journalists do not write it.
  • Disclosure survives the campaign. Sponsored articles stay labelled forever, including in archives.

What we refuse

Crypto advertising has a fraud problem, and our readers face the sharp end of it, so the refusal list is long and enforced:

  • Anything promising guaranteed returns, “risk-free” yield, or specific price outcomes;
  • Token presales and launches structured to reward early buyers at later buyers’ expense, and anything we judge to be a pump scheme in any costume;
  • Unregistered securities offerings targeted at jurisdictions where that is unlawful;
  • Trading signal groups, “wealth mentors”, and recovery-of-lost-funds services, categories where fraud is the norm rather than the exception;
  • Impersonation of any person, publication, or brand, including ours; and any creative designed to look like a news article, a wallet prompt, or a system warning;
  • Anything targeting minors, and anything whose claims we cannot verify enough to put in front of our readers.

We check advertisers before campaigns run and we pull campaigns mid-flight if a product changes or evidence of fraud emerges, without refund where our terms so provide. If your product cannot pass this list, we are the wrong venue, and no budget changes that.

Affiliate partnerships

We accept affiliate relationships with services we would cover on merit anyway, under the strict separation described on our Ownership & Funding page: disclosure on every page carrying a link, no editorial influence, no coverage commissioned to feed a link. Affiliate proposals go to the same address with “Advertising” in the subject line.

Why the rules are this strict

Because the rules are the product. An audience that trusts the publication is the only thing worth advertising in front of, and every corner cut on labelling or vetting spends that trust at your expense as much as ours. The full editorial framework behind this page lives in our Editorial Standards, and the disclaimer our readers are asked to internalise is at Disclaimer. We look forward to working with advertisers who read all three pages and still want in; historically, those are the good ones.
