Markets.com Appoints New CEO and CFO

Markets.com, a global online trading platform that offers CFDs, forex, stocks, cryptocurrencies, and more, has announced the appointment of two new senior executives in January 2024. David Fineberg has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Joe Rundle, who stepped down after four years in the role. Fineberg has been with Markets.com since 2010, serving as the Group Commercial Director and the Deputy CEO. He has over 20 years of experience in the online trading industry and has played a key role in the growth and expansion of Markets.com.

Along with Fineberg, Markets.com has also appointed James Watson as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), replacing Kfir Teichman, who left the company to pursue other opportunities. Watson joined Markets.com in 2019 as the Head of Finance and has been instrumental in improving the financial performance and efficiency of the platform. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, working for various firms such as Deloitte, Barclays, and IG Group.

IG Group Hires New Head of Asia Pacific and Africa

IG Group, a leading provider of online trading and investments, has hired Lee Foulger as the new Head of Asia Pacific and Africa in February 2024. Foulger will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and growth of IG’s operations in these regions, which are key markets for the company. Foulger has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held senior roles at HSBC, Standard Chartered, and Saxo Bank. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in the FX and CFD markets, as well as the regulatory and compliance aspects of the industry.

Foulger’s appointment comes at a time when IG Group is facing increased competition and regulatory pressure in its core markets, such as the UK and Europe. The company has been focusing on expanding its presence and offerings in the emerging markets, such as Asia and Africa, where the demand for online trading and investments is growing rapidly. FXCM Promotes New Global Head of Dealing and Risk Management

FXCM, a leading online provider of FX and CFD trading, has promoted Anthony Vassallo to the position of Global Head of Dealing and Risk Management in March 2024. Vassallo will be in charge of managing the risk exposure and liquidity of FXCM’s global trading operations, as well as ensuring the best execution and pricing for the clients. Vassallo has been with FXCM since 2005, starting as a Junior Dealer and rising through the ranks to become the Head of Dealing for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in 2018. He has a strong background and understanding of the FX and CFD markets, as well as the technical and operational aspects of the dealing function.

Vassallo’s promotion is part of FXCM’s ongoing efforts to enhance its trading capabilities and services, as well as to adapt to the changing market conditions and client needs.
